Pumpkin on a walk today

Pumpkin had his globes removed in January because he got glaucoma and it was really painful.  He got glaucoma because he had cataracts, and he got cataracts because he had PRA (progressive retinal atrophy).  He developed PRA in around 2007 when we were living in Mount Vernon, Missouri.  My person took Pumpkin to the prestigious veterinarian school at the University of Missouri, Columbia when she and his vet realized he was nearly blind.  But nothing could be done.

Anyways, he's been blind for 5 years already so my person and Pumpkin's ophthalmologist decided the best thing was just to remove the globes since he didn't need them and they were painful.  He just looks like he's always got his eyes closed now.

This fire hydrant is in our yard!  How convenient is that!

We love that fire hydrant! He can't see it but he can smell it!

Unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy

My person took Pumpkin to the doggy opthamologist (Veterinary Vision in San Carlos) and they had this cute sign in the waiting room.
